The Jitterbug Club looks and feels like Harlem 1933. But on closer inspection you’ll find that its grime and grit has a slightly different flavor. It not only swings like the prohibition era, but it pops and locks like New York hip hop. It bumps and grinds like Burlesque Hour. It's as streetwise as a present day speakeasy.
The Jitterbug Club is a place where music and performance overlap. One tight, cohesive, interactive & seamless performance from start to finish. You will enter a club that will take you out of your everyday reality and to into the darkest juke joint of your mind.
With in house chorus line The Jitterbeetles and featuring house bands Mojo Juju (Melbourne) – Pachucho swing and jazz noir from the darkened alleyways of charm, and Clairy Browne & The Bangin Rackettes (Brisbane) – doo-wop wail and jump from nine-piece girl group party band.
In addition to show in Le Boudoir, The Jitterbug Club will be hosting the all-day immersive performance space and secret hush-hush goodtime bar, The Snuff Box, in Melbourne.
