Drag, Cabaret, performance coupled with the sort of mind bending camp spectacle that would pull Busby Berkeley back out of the grave. Curious capers in peculiar pathos will push you into the depths of hilarity and leave you as chilled as Walt Disney. You are invited into the house of mirrors to see your true self reflected: short, stout, long, tall, the answer lurks in that darkness beyond. Is the clown laughing or wearing a frown? It’s your choice folks! Laugh or cry? Why not both!

THE GLITTER MILITIA is an amorphous body of interdisciplinary artists, who move freely between their varied practices in visual arts, photography, film, fashion, theatre, costume and production design.

Established in 2004, THE GLITTER MILITIA produce bent performance work, parties, films, exhibitions and immersive theatrical experiences in warehouses, nightclubs, at festivals and in theatre spaces throughout Sydney.

THE GLITTER MILITIA aim to challenge the worlds’ contemporary obsession with distraction and destruction using creativity as their weapon. Motivated by a need to play, a desire to discover and examine the truths of human nature and a passion to celebrate the intersection between life, sex and death. The Glitter Militia seek to liberate through anarchic parody and satire, enlighten through the power of story telling and galvanise with the magic of illusion and spectacle.

In addition to the Clown Cult show in Le Boudoir, The Glitter Militia will be hosting the all-day immersive performance space and secret hush-hush goodtime bar, The Snuff Box, in Sydney.
